Meet Dr. Sukriti Mukherjee — a consultant neuropsychiatrist and addiction specialist whose professional journey spans premier institutes like NIMHANS and AIIMS. Work Experience

  • 1 year of rotational internship at Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital in 2016-17, after completion of his MBBS from the same institute (2011-16).

  • MD Psychiatry residency at Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur, Assam, from 2019 to 2022, including postings in General Psychiatry as well as specialized services like Addiction Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Neurology, and Community outreach clinics.

  • Senior Residency in the research project titled “Chhattisgarh Community Mental Healthcare Tele- mentoring program (CHaMP)” in the Department of Psychiatry at NIMHANS, Bengaluru, in 2022-23.

  • Senior Resident in the Department of Psychiatry at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani, from 2023 to 2025.

  • Extensive experience in independent evaluation and management of new and follow-up patients in Adult Psychiatry OPD at NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

  • Delivered comprehensive psychiatric care across Adult Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Consultation–Liaison Psychiatry at AIIMS, Kalyani, with over 20,000 consultations during tenure.

  • Actively mentored junior residents in systematic clinical assessment, including detailed telepsychiatry-based evaluations in OPD and IPD settings at both the institutes.

  • Played a pivotal role in formulating and supervising inpatient management plans as Senior Resident–In-Charge of the IPD (February 2024 – February 2025) at AIIMS Kalyani.

  • Served as on-call Senior Resident, managing psychiatric emergencies in high-pressure emergency care settings at NIMHANS & AIIMS Kalyani.

  • As Senior Resident–In-Charge of Neuromodulation, led rTMS services at AIIMS, Kalyani, formulating protocols and administering 500+ rTMS sessions.

  • Instrumental in developing ECT protocols and dosing strategies, and served as Senior Resident–In-Charge for 100+ ECT sessions.

  • Provided structured telepsychiatry services via the eSanjeevani national platform.

  • Contributed as a multidisciplinary team member in ICU-based neuropsychiatric management, including cases of status epilepticus.

  • Delivered psychiatric consultations in community outreach camps organized by the Border Security Force in collaboration with AIIMS, Kalyani.​

  • Successfully completed the ICMR–NIE certified Basic Course in Biomedical Research (NPTEL–SWAYAM).

  • Served as a resource person for developing training and IEC materials for rural medical practitioners of Chhattisgarh under the CHaMP Project at NIMHANS.

  • Resource faculty for Suicide Prevention: Gatekeeper Training workshops for medical and nursing students, researchers, and faculty at AIIMS Kalyani and IISER Kolkata.

  • Sole coordinator of a National-level hands-on workshop on tDCS & rTMS at AIIMS Kalyani (November 2023), featuring eminent national faculty.

  • Coordinated multiple mental health awareness programmes, including Epilepsy, World Suicide Prevention Day, and Multiple Sclerosis neuropsychiatric interfaces.

  • Moderated academic debates and interdisciplinary discussions among residents and interns across specialties.
